OVERVIEW
This Privacy Policy describes how Pro Camera Motion Detector ("the App") handles your information when you use it on your Apple iOS device.
The App does not require you to create an account, does not operate a backend server that stores your personal data, and does not sell any data to any third party under any circumstances. All core features operate on your device. The only external data flow is through Google AdMob for in-app rewarded advertising.
1. DATA WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
Camera The App uses your camera to display a live preview, capture photos and videos at your request, scan QR codes and barcodes, and perform on-device human body pose detection for motion-tracking features. Camera frames are processed in real time on your device and are immediately discarded after use. They are never stored, uploaded, or transmitted.
Body Motion Detection The App uses Apple's Vision framework (VNDetectHumanBodyPoseRequest) to detect the presence and movement of a human body in the camera frame. This is used solely to trigger motion alerts and animate the on-screen motion radar. All processing occurs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning. No body pose data is stored, exported, or shared with any third party.
Face Data The App does not collect, process, store, or transmit facial recognition data, face geometry, face templates, face scans, or any other face-related biometric information. The App does not use face detection APIs at any time. No facial landmark mapping, face recognition, or analysis of facial features is performed. This statement applies to all current and planned uses of the App.
Microphone Microphone access is used only to record audio alongside video when you explicitly start a video recording. Audio is saved only as part of the video file you choose to record, which is stored in your device's photo library. The App does not record audio in the background or transmit audio to any server.
Photo Library The App saves photos and videos you capture to your photo library. The App also reads a thumbnail of your most recently captured image to display in the gallery shortcut button. The App does not upload, analyse, or transmit any photos or videos from your library.
Location (Compass Heading) The App requests "when in use" location permission solely to read your device compass heading, which is displayed as a directional overlay on the camera screen. The App does not collect, store, log, or transmit your geographic coordinates, location history, or any other location data.
Device Motion The App uses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to support motion-tracking and camera orientation features. This data is used in real time on your device only and is not stored, exported, or transmitted.
2. ADVERTISING — GOOGLE ADMOB
The App displays rewarded video advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Watching a rewarded ad is how users unlock the App's Advanced Features.
This App does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking. Google AdMob therefore serves non-personalised (contextual) ads only. Ads are targeted based on general context, not on your individual profile or cross-app behaviour.
When an ad is requested or displayed, Google AdMob may collect certain technical information including a resettable device-level identifier, IP address, device type, OS version, app version, and ad interaction data. This data is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We do not receive or store this data ourselves. We never share camera data, body pose data, location data, or any other sensor data with Google or any advertiser.
The App includes Apple's SKAdNetwork identifiers to support privacy-preserving ad attribution as required by Apple. This mechanism does not track individual users across apps.
To limit ad tracking, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalised Ads on your device.
3. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for their own use. The only third-party data processing that occurs is through Google AdMob as described above. No other third-party SDKs, analytics services, crash-reporting tools, or tracking services are present in the App.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. DATA RETENTION
The App does not maintain a backend database or server. We do not retain personal data on our end.
Camera frames and body pose data: processed in real time and immediately discarded. Not stored anywhere.
Face data: not collected at any time. No retention period applies.
Location heading: used in real time, not stored.
Photos and videos: saved to your device's photo library by your own action. You control and can delete this content at any time through the iOS Photos app.
App preferences: stored locally on your device only (iOS UserDefaults) and never transmitted.
Ad interaction data: retained by Google under Google's data retention policies.
5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take prompt steps to delete such information.
6. SECURITY
Because the App does not transmit personal data to our servers (we have none), the attack surface for data breaches is minimal. All sensitive processing occurs exclusively on your device within Apple's protected iOS environment. Photos and videos are protected by your device's built-in security including Face ID, Touch ID, your passcode, and iOS data-at-rest encryption.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
You can revoke camera, microphone, photo library, location, or motion permissions at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security on your iPhone. You can delete all app data by deleting the App from your device. For data processed by Google AdMob, submit requests through Google's privacy controls at https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
